Doctor of Nursing Practice | Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

With over a decade of experience in mental health and wellness, I provide compassionate, integrative care that supports emotional healing, personal growth, and overall well-being. My background in both nursing and social work allows me to approach treatment holistically, combining clinical expertise with empathy, understanding, and individualized support. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of South Alabama and hold dual master's degrees in Nursing and Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. While I specialize in women's mental and emotional wellness across the lifespan, my practice is open and welcoming to children, adolescents, adults, and families from all backgrounds. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, stress, and major life transitions.

I believe every person deserves a safe space to feel heard, respected, and empowered. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and Novara Wellness services designed to help individuals build confidence, gain clarity, and create meaningful change in their lives. I am passionate about helping people feel more balanced, resilient, and in control of their mental health journey. My goal is to make care approachable, supportive, and stigma-free while walking alongside each client toward healing, growth, and a healthier future.

Welcome to a space where you can exhale, be fully seen, and take your next step toward healing with care that honors your whole story.

My husband had his first visit with Tanika today. He has been looking for a new doctor since losing his doctor of 10 years at the VA. She was very understanding and took the time to make sure that he felt comfortable as he was very nervous about starting with a new doctor. She answered all of our questions efficiently and even reached out to the pharmacy right away when they had a question about one of the prescriptions. He plans on continuing to work with her, and would recommend her to anyone looking to better their mental health.

10/10! I could not recommend Novara Psychiatry more than I do! After being brushed off by my PCP, I almost gave up seeking guidance from someone like NP Motley. A quick Google/Facebook search landed me right where I needed to be. NP Motley turned what I thought was going to be a long, dreaded fight into the most positive experience I could have asked for. I have no doubt that if I wouldn't have found my home here that I would still be without help and by now probably given up on fighting for any. I will refer all of my friends and family to Novara Psychiatry! Thank you NP Motley!
